Results - 9th August
Pillar: Melbourne Barbarians 20 Kingston Redbacks 17
Tries: Eric Fransella, Lewis Wright, Tom Lucas
Goal: Bob Windle
Penalty: Bob Windle
This game was won by a brilliant pass from Michael Graham to the sea-gulling hooker, Tom Lucas, whilst the rest of the forwards were doing the hard yards in the ruck. Tom and Mick fooled the whole opposition team and your photographer, who was watching Tom running straight towards him and forgot to take the photo of the winning try. This is the best we can do.
Lightning: Melbourne 20 Eltham 5
Tries: Jacob Prisk, Michael Graham, Tyrone Mitchell
Goal: Rob Acteson
Penalty: Rob Acteson
Pillar Colts: Melbourne Barbarians 6 Kingston Redbacks 42
Penalties: Lydon Palamo 2
